| This is not so much an adaptation of the novel by Jules Verne to the most expensive DVD movie Around the World in 80 Days ever Jackie Chan. As in the rest of his films, Chan is fun to see the fight scenes in particular. It really does not matter about the argument around the world in 80 days. Filius Fogg and his French girlfriend seems to be along for the ride. Fogg is supposed to be a brilliant inventor, but can not figure out that its new service is not the French Chan is one of the sillier plot holes. The other problem with the DVD film Around the World in 80 Days is, despite the large budget, the DivX film Around the World in 80 Days is false future. The special effects are not very impressive. It is also obvious that much of the film: Around the World in 80 Days was filmed on a set and not in place. However, the DVD film Around the World in 80 Days is watchable and beats Remakes The Stepford Wives. I give it a 6 / 10 because it is entertaining, but it is not anything special. |
| This film: Around the World in 80 Days should have been sent around the cup in 80 nano seconds. I know this is a Disney film, and more importantly, a kids DivX film Around the World in 80 Days from Disney, but he should know better. We could have done much better than this. This Around the World in 80 Days movie is so forced that they could not have contributed a couple of ways to achieve this silly plot to go around the world to escape with a Chinese engine. If I was new to this country, or even this planet, I may have mistaken for a DivX Movie Around the World in 80 Days comedy adventure. Fortunately, or maybe unfortunately, I've been here long enough to recognize what should and should not be classified as a comedy adventure. Around the world in 80 days ... um ... no. |
| Very unfaithful adaptation of the novel by Jules Verne, but much more entertaining than the tedious and extremely overvalued but relatively faithful David Niven version. The movie: Around the World in 80 Days is pleasant and breezy, with some funny scenes of struggle, though it is totally irrelevant. I think it would help to see this DivX Movie Around the World in 80 Days you have not read the book, because one can not help but think that there was no need extensive rewriting. Passepartout character Jackie could not have been expanded to many other changes. Phineas changing a Bumbling ridiculous inventor was made in an attempt to make the DivX Movie Around the World in 80 Days in the Around the World in 80 Days Action movie version of another friend who has been the greatest friend of Jackie in the U.S., but Coogan is outstanding in the role and has no lot of chemistry with Jackie, it really should have made the character as written, which could have a much more intelligent film. Despite the plot holes and some nonsense but I have enjoyed, at least in that, seeing a Around the World in 80 Days film on TV-on-a-Saturday morning path. |
| Is it a DivX Movie Around the World in 80 Days or Coogan Chan? That is the only puzzling thing about this movie. For the rest just one action packed adventure, with a little romance in the far side. 15 years ago this Around the World in 80 Days movie would have been very successful in the line of Goonies or a Disney film. Now sometimes a little overacting (English police follows the main characters, for example) is offset by great cameos, I will not give them away, but keep watching! Coogan is in his television series, the familiar faces and expressions are displayed. Just as it may be that someone, sometimes naive? Chan is sometimes oneliners with comedian, actor, and sometimes with bad lines. His overall fight, yet his performance did not. Do not spoil the film, but the plot keeps returning to the "Chinese connection" almost made it. I did not expect a partner in the plot, only Fogg travel around the world! I do not think the spectators described as a Around the World in 80 Days Action movie for children. If you liked Goonies in the past, read the book and the fight against Chan incredible scenes, you will be satisfied. 6 / 10 from me. |
| Wonderful! We just see the film: Around the World in 80 Days today and I laughed out loud! Not only seven years old, laughing, but fourteen years old, laughed too! My husband and I laughed too. Chan was very funny, it is Coogan. There was also a series of cameos to keep you laughing. When he discovered that Schwarzenegger LAND wig! The fighting scenes were very good. Chan, as usual, offers its usual exciting mix of martial arts. Ultimately, a film: Around the World in 80 Days that will keep you entertained and you can take the kids to see! A miracle in 2004! Well worth the price of a ticket! |
